Alternate Interior Angles When a line is intersecting the two parallel lines then the angles which are on the opposite side of the transversal line are called alternate interior angles. The alternate interior angles are always equal. The line which intersects the other two parallel lines are called as the transversal line. When one of the alternate interior angles is given it is easy to find out the other angles also. Following are the examples which are based on the alternate interior angles concept. Example 1:Two lines are cut by a transversal line and one angle is given as 110 degrees. Then find out the alternate interior angle of this angle. Solution 1:Given that two lines are cut by a transverse line then 4 alternate interior angles are made. We know that alternate interior angles are always equal. One of the angle is given as 110 degrees then the other angle is also 110 degrees. Example 2:Given that two lines are intersected by a transversal line and one of the interior angles is given as 100 degrees. Then find out the other angles. Solution 2: - Given that one of the alternate interior angles is given as 100 degrees. We know that the adjacent angles will sum up to 180 degrees so the adjacent angle would be 80 degrees. Now the required two alternate interior angles are 100 degrees and 80 degrees. So now all the interior angles are 100 degrees, 80 degrees, 100 degrees and 80 degrees.

Statistically, that’s about half of all job seekers. Yet, despite all that distaste for networking, and especially networking for a job, you have to do it, right? Yes, you do. Even with all that the Internet gives us, people hire people. You most likely won’t get a job without connecting your resume or you to a real person simply to get an interview. This is a fact of life that predates the Internet. We have to network and build relationships for jobs, resources and opportunities. Before I get into some actionable advice, it’s important to understand a bit about how Introverts tick: Being around people sucks up our energy.  We almost go into autopilot to save energy, which means we do avoid networking events or even parties. We tend to form relationships one-on-one.  It helps save energy and allows us to focus, which we do very well. When we do speak it’s either because we have a purpose to speak or a context of understanding about the other person. (We know the other person and have enough background to know where to start a conversation) To sum this up, events suck up energy, which isn’t fun; being around groups of people isn’t fun; and if I don’t know you or know what to talk to you about, I’m a deer in the headlights.  Great. Don’t despair; there are things you can do to work with your natural tendencies. Tip #1: Expand Where You Are Many of us fail to recognize that our place of business is one big networking opportunity.  Introverts do tend to “hunker down” or focus on work rather than relationships, but schedule yourself to daily get away from the desk and get to know someone better. At work you have a number of workmates, but don’t discount customers, vendors and contractors. This will also allow you to develop the relationship one-on-one! Tip #2:  Look Up Former Workmates The great thing about our jobs is that we do make work friends, even if we get out of contact when someone moves on. Use LinkedIn to locate some of your former workmates. They will love you for remembering them. Besides, it’s fun to get caught up. Once you connect â€" stay connected. Tip #3: Don’t Work the Room The worst advice for us is to try to meet as many people as you can. We hate it. It’s superficial and you really won’t get to know others with that strategy. By focusing in on just meeting 2 or 3 people, you will reduce the overwhelm and feel good about going because you got to spend time focusing on the other person. When you hit your target, leave. Tip #4: Following Up Is Not Stalking I hear this a lot. When you finish speaking to someone, ask for their contact information and suggest coffee. That way when you do make contact, it won’t be awkward for either of you. Tip #5: Not Everyone Is Perfect for You If you don’t feel some type of connection to another person, that’s ok. Not everyone you meet is going to be someone you will or can develop a relationship with. Take the pressure off yourself that you have to get traction with everyone, because it’s not realistic. (Tweet this!) Tip #6: Give First All relationships are like a bank account. You must deposit first before you can start drawing out any currency. Do not make demands until you have spent time nurturing the relationship. Tip #7: Ask a Friend This is a great Introvert strategy. Ask a friend to bring a friend of theirs to meet up for coffee. Explain that you are expanding your circle and you trust their judgment in people. This strategy gives you a context for talking to them and remains intimate. As an Introvert, you have to start thinking creatively about how to network without overwhelming yourself. Start with one tip and master that before adding another one. Yet, after a long summer off, the exciting return to school is also a time when many classroom issues emerge. If you dont address these challenges early on, its possible theyll become more challenging to your student as time goes on. So its helpful to help them as soon as you can. If your elementary school student is having a hard time getting into the swing of a new year, read on. Here are three common back-to-school issues and advice on how to address them. Back-to-school issue #1: Forming few friendships The classroom is a wonderful place to make friends. However, for some students, making friends can be tricky. Students who are shy or who have just moved to a new school district might struggle to make friends in what can sometimes seem like a sea of strangers. If your student is struggling to make friends, you might notice that he or she doesnt ask to visit other childrens homes or to bring other children over. Your students teacher may mention to you that they notice your student doesnt interact much with his or her classmates, or you may observe as much when you pick your student up from school or the bus. Encouragebut dont forceyour student to form friendships. You can encourage healthy friendships by being a good model for friendly social behavior and reinforcing when your child takes interest in his or her peers. You can also set up playdates with parents you know. Praise your student when he or she gets good grades, and encourage him or her to continue working to improve if his or her grades are not where they should be. Although your teen may have put in quite a bit of effort toward the college application process already, senior year is no time to slack, saysCo-Founder and CEO Eileen Huntington of Huntington Learning Center. These last nine months of high school are when teens really need to stay on track to ensure they do not miss any important deadlines as they make this important life decision, says Huntington. Heres a senior year college application calendar that your teen should keep on hand: September Make a list of top college choices and their application and financial aid due dates. Make a list of all scholarships to which you plan to apply and their due dates. Put all due dates on the calendarand keep in mind that many scholarship deadlines are between October and March. Get familiar with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid website (https://fafsa.ed.gov/) and requirements for submitting yours as soon as possible after October 1. Request recommendation letters to give teachers/counselors plenty of notice, as they will receive requests from other students as well. Register to retake the ACT on October 27 if needed (registration deadline is September 28). October If applying early decision/early action, begin working on applications. Many colleges have early admissions application deadlines as soon as November 1. Begin drafting any application essays. Register to retake the SAT on November 3 if needed (registration deadline is October 5). November Register to retake the SAT on December 1 if you want one more chance to raise your score (registration deadline is November 2). Register to retake the ACT on December 8 if you want one more chance to raise your score (registration deadline is November 2). Request that the guidance counselor send first-semester transcripts to all colleges to which you are applying. December Submit any college applications due in early 2019. If you submitted your FAFSA in the fall, keep an eye out for the Student Aid Report, which colleges use to put together your college financial aid package. Make sure to review this report carefully to check that everything is correct. If you applied for early decision, keep an eye out for admissions letters. You should hear something in mid-December. January and February Continue working hard in school to maintain a high GPA. Colleges often want to see spring semester grades. After winter break, touch base with the guidance counselor to make sure theres nothing youve overlooked. Relax! The hardest part is behind you, and now you wait to hear from colleges. Review your scholarship list. Have you submitted applications on time? Remember that the more you apply, the greater your chances are of receiving some scholarship money. Every dollar counts. March and April If you applied for regular decision, keep an eye out for admissions letters. You should expect to hear something within six to eight weeksso if you sent your application in mid-January, a notification by mid-April is likely. Once you do hear from all colleges, review your acceptance letters and compare financial aid offers. Contact each colleges financial aid office with any questions. Make your college decision and let all colleges know. Many colleges request that you notify them of your plans by May 1.
